For our client, a well-known pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect (m/f/d).
Background
We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with strong expertise in data processing systems to design and implement a large-scale sensor data platform for clinical trials. In this role, you will create technical architectures, documentation, and collaborate closely with project leadership and engineering teams to ensure successful execution. The ideal candidate brings around 8 years of architecture experience, solid AWS knowledge, Python skills for automation or prototyping, and excellent English communication abilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Architectural Content Creation: Produce architecture documents, diagrams, specifications, integration maps, data flow designs, and migration roadmaps
Hands-On Execution: Develop and validate POCs when appropriate using Python and cloud-native tooling
API & Endpoint Design: Design, document, and optimize APIs/endpoints for integration and scalability
Cloud Architecture (AWS): Design and validate solutions leveraging AWS services
Data & System Migration: Plan and document approaches for migrating applications, databases, and infrastructure across environments
Implementation Guidance: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure implementations follow architectural designs and technical standards
Documentation: Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation of architectures and designs.
Must Haves
8+ years in solution or technical architecture roles
Python development experience for automation, prototyping, or validation.
Strong experience designing and documenting solutions on AWS
Proven knowledge of API/endpoint architectures (REST, event-driven)
Hands-on experience in data and system migrations
Ability to work closely with engineering teams to guide implementation
Strong skills in creating detailed technical documentation
(Preferred) Exposure to regulated environments (SaMD, CSV)
Fluent English skills
Nice to Have:
Compliance Awareness: (Nice-to-have) Experience working in regulated environments such as SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) or CSV (Computer System Validation)
